A special assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, O’tega Ogra, has threatened to take legal action against popular Nigerian singer, Timi Dakolo, following a social media post where the artiste called him out.

Dakolo, in a post on X (formerly Twitter), accused Ogra of ignoring his calls over an undisclosed issue, a claim that quickly drew public attention and reactions online.

Responding via his official X handle, O’tega Ogra dismissed the singer’s post, describing the matter as an “institutional issue” that Dakolo had wrongly personalised.

Ogra warned that any further attempt by the singer to drag the matter publicly would attract formal correction and legal redress.

“I see and have noted the commentary. I will not engage in explication where none is required. My record is public and stands on its merits.

Any further attempt to personalise a clearly institutional matter will be met with formal correction and the appropriate professional and legal redress,” Ogra wrote.

The aide did not provide further details about the nature of the “institutional matter,” but his statement suggests the issue may be connected to an official engagement or project involving the singer.

As of the time of this report, Timi Dakolo has not issued any additional comment or response to Ogra’s warning.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
