TINUBU HAILS RESCUE OF 15 NYSC MEMBERS, SIX OTHERS

President Bola Tinubu has commended security agencies for rescuing 15 members of the National Youth Service Corps and six other people who were abducted in Kogi State.

The victims were reportedly kidnapped while travelling through the state, prompting security agencies to launch an operation aimed at securing their release.

Tinubu praised the security personnel involved in the rescue operation, describing the successful recovery of the victims as an important development in the government’s efforts to protect citizens.

The President said the government remained committed to strengthening security across the country and ensuring that criminal groups are prevented from carrying out attacks on Nigerians.

He commended the security agencies for their dedication and urged them to sustain efforts to rescue other citizens who may still be in captivity.

The rescue has also brought relief to the families and colleagues of the NYSC members and other victims who had been waiting for their safe return.

Tinubu reiterated the Federal Government’s commitment to improving intelligence gathering and coordination among security agencies to tackle kidnapping and other forms of insecurity.

He urged security personnel to remain vigilant and continue operations against criminal groups across the country.

The President also called on Nigerians to support security agencies by providing useful information that could assist in preventing crimes and protecting communities.

The development comes amid continued concerns over kidnapping and other security threats in parts of Nigeria.

Tinubu said his administration would continue to prioritise the safety of Nigerians and work towards creating a more secure environment for citizens to live, work and travel.
