President Bola Tinubu has said that the collapse of grassroots governance structures is contributing to rising insecurity in parts of the country.

He made the statement while addressing national concerns on security challenges, noting that weak local governance has created gaps exploited by criminal elements.

Tinubu emphasized the need to strengthen local government systems to improve service delivery and enhance security coordination at the community level.

He added that his administration remains committed to reforms aimed at rebuilding trust and improving governance at all levels.
