President Bola Tinubu has extended warm felicitations to Afrobeats icon, Innocent Idibia, widely known as 2Baba, on his 50th birthday.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, on Friday in Abuja, the president praised 2Baba’s lasting influence on Nigeria’s music industry.

Tinubu commended the artist’s creativity, resilience, and the indomitable spirit he represents as a symbol of Nigerian identity.

He noted that for over two decades, 2Baba has graced Nigeria and the global stage with timeless melodies, inspiring generations while proudly flying the nation’s flag across the world.

“His classic hit, African Queen, remains an evergreen anthem that showcased the richness of African music to the world and firmly placed Nigeria on the global entertainment map,” Tinubu said.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
