TINUBU BEGINS THREE-WEEK EUROPEAN HOLIDAY AHEAD OF 2027 CAMPAIGN

President Bola Tinubu has commenced a three-week holiday in Europe as political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections continue to gather momentum.

The President departed Nigeria for Europe on Monday for the break, according to the Presidency. The holiday is expected to provide an opportunity for Tinubu to rest ahead of the next phase of his administration and political activities.

Tinubu’s planned break comes as political parties and various interest groups intensify preparations for the 2027 elections, with discussions around presidential contests already gaining attention across the country.

The President’s supporters have continued to mobilise for his possible re-election bid, while opposition figures and political groups have also begun positioning themselves ahead of the election.

During his absence, the Presidency is expected to continue coordinating government activities through the relevant officials and institutions.

The three-week holiday comes after a period of increased government activity, including engagements focused on economic reforms, security, infrastructure and other national issues.

Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria after the holiday and resume his official schedule.
