Tinubu Praises Religious Leaders in Lagos for Fostering Peace and Unity
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed deep appreciation to religious leaders in Lagos State for their role in maintaining peace and unity among residents of different faiths.
The President’s commendation came during the ordination of the new spiritual leader of The Saviour’s Ministries Worldwide, Cherubim and Seraphim Church, held in Alausa, Ikeja. The newly ordained head, Baba Aladura Prince Gbenga Adeniran-Aluko, was celebrated in a well-attended event over the weekend.
President Tinubu, represented by Bishop Stephen T.V. Adegbite, Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), described the religious leaders as a major pillar of stability in Lagos.
“As a citizen of Lagos, I commend all religious leaders in this state for standing together and keeping the state peaceful without religious bigotry,” the President said.
He acknowledged the vital role religious communities play in offering prayers and support to his administration and urged Nigerians to continue praying for the country.
Tinubu also touched on the current economic challenges facing the nation, assuring citizens that the hardship is temporary and will ease with the reforms being implemented by his government.
“I congratulate Baba Aladura Gbenga Adeniran-Aluko on this momentous occasion, which comes at a time when the church needs visionary leadership,” he added.
The President called on faithful Nigerians across all denominations to keep interceding for leaders at all levels, noting that their prayers are essential for national progress.
In a time when unity is more important than ever, Tinubu’s message reinforces the value of interfaith harmony and the significant impact of spiritual leaders in shaping a peaceful society.
