Nigerian TikToker Hamzat Habeeb Adelaja, popularly known as Peller, expressed immense gratitude after a fire incident almost destroyed his newly acquired mansion.

Peller generator catches fire

In a post on his Instagram page earlier today, Peller revealed that his generator caught fire, causing panic among him and the other residents of his house. He shared a video showing the chaotic scene as everyone scrambled to contain the flames, which had already spread to parts of the building.

Peller said it took over 30 minutes to put out the fire. “This happened early this morning. My new generator almost burned down my new house, but God saved us. It took us over 30 minutes to put out the fire. All I can say is God saved us,” he wrote.

Peller’s experience is one of many recent fire incidents involving Nigerian celebrities. In 2022, Yoruba actress Yetunde Bakare narrowly escaped disaster when a 25-liter petrol keg caught fire in her presence. Though her property was spared, some neighboring homes suffered losses.

Brand influencer Laura Ikeji also faced a fire at her beauty store while tending to her youngest child at night. Despite the material loss, she expressed gratitude, emphasizing that possessions can be replaced.

In July of last year, actress Iyabo’s office building caught fire. She shared a video of the incident, thanking the Nigerian Fire Service and her staff for salvaging what remained, and expressed relief that no lives were lost.

Similarly, Yoruba actress Bose Alao recounted surviving a house fire, praising her neighborhood for helping contain the blaze before firefighters arrived.

In 2024, actress Mercy Aigbe lost her Lagos mansion to fire but remained thankful that everyone escaped unharmed. Last December, actress Bidemi Kosoko also experienced a devastating fire at her home, as did singers Orezi and Small Doctor, who both lost valuable properties while remaining grateful that no lives were lost.

Comedian AY’s Lagos residence was gutted by fire while his family was abroad, resulting in millions of naira in losses, with video footage capturing the Lagos State Fire Service in action.

These incidents highlight how fire disasters continue to affect celebrities, underscoring the importance of safety measures and vigilance, as well as the gratitude for lives spared amid property losses.
