TIGER WOODS RELEASED ON BAIL AFTER FLORIDA CRASH ARREST
Golf legend Tiger Woods has been released on bail after being arrested and charged with driving under the influence following a car crash in Florida.
According to reports, Woods was detained after his vehicle overturned while attempting to overtake a trailer on Friday afternoon. He was said to have escaped unhurt, while the other driver involved in the incident also sustained no injuries.
Authorities disclosed that Woods appeared “lethargic” at the scene, raising suspicions of impairment linked to medication. Although a breathalyser test returned negative, he reportedly declined to provide a urine sample.
The golfer was held for about eight hours before being released on bond early Saturday. Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek stated that Woods showed signs of impairment following the crash, leading to his arrest after roadside tests.
He was charged with driving under the influence, property damage, and refusal to submit to a lawful test, though officials noted that the offences are not classified as felonies.
Authorities said Woods was driving at high speed in a 30 mph zone before his vehicle clipped a trailer, overturned, and slid to a stop.
This latest incident adds to Woods’ history of traffic-related issues, including a 2017 DUI-related arrest and a serious 2021 crash in California that left him with multiple leg injuries.
