THREE KIDNAP VICTIMS FREED AS ENUGU POLICE RECOVER STOLEN VEHICLE, WEAPONS

The Enugu State Police Command has rescued three victims of kidnapping and recovered a stolen vehicle and firearms during separate operations conducted in parts of the state. The operations were carried out as the command intensifies its efforts to tackle kidnapping, armed robbery and other criminal activities.

The police said the operations were supported by intelligence gathered by its operatives, which enabled security personnel to locate and rescue the kidnapped victims. The rescued individuals were subsequently taken to safety, while investigations were launched to establish the circumstances surrounding their abduction and identify those responsible.

During the operations, police personnel also recovered a vehicle that had allegedly been stolen, as well as firearms believed to be connected to criminal activities. The recovered items have been taken into custody as investigators work to determine their links to ongoing criminal investigations in the state.

The command said the operations demonstrate its continued commitment to disrupting criminal networks and improving security across Enugu. Police personnel have also continued to conduct intelligence-led operations aimed at identifying criminal hideouts and apprehending suspects involved in kidnapping and other violent offences.
