Kaduna is witnessing increased political activity as APC supporters and party leaders arrive ahead of President Bola Tinubu’s presidential campaign rally on Saturday, October 24.

The event, scheduled for Kaduna Township Stadium, will mark the launch of his campaign for the 2027 presidential election.

Deputy Governor Hadiza Balarabe, who chairs the local organising committee, said preparations were in place to receive the President and supporters from across the country.

Following an inspection of the venue, she said seating areas and other facilities were ready, with final arrangements being completed.

Security has also been strengthened around the stadium, major roads and hotels accommodating visitors. Organisers said attendees would undergo screening before entering the venue.

Governor Uba Sani inspected facilities ahead of the rally, while governors and other senior APC figures had begun arriving in the state.

The influx of visitors has raised expectations of increased sales for traders, transport operators and other businesses.

However, some residents expressed concern about traffic congestion and possible restrictions on movement, urging organisers to minimise disruption to everyday activities.
