THOMAS PARTEY GRANTED BAIL, SET TO JOIN VILLARREAL AMID LEGAL BATTLE
Former Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has been granted bail after appearing before the Westminster Magistrates’ Court in London on Tuesday over multiple sexual offence charges.
As part of his bail conditions, Partey is prohibited from contacting any of the three women involved in the case and must inform the police of any permanent change in residence or international travel plans.
During the court session, Chief Magistrate Paul Goldspring also referenced Partey’s football future, suggesting that the 32-year-old has moved to Spain to play for Villarreal, stating:
“I understand he’s no longer employed in this country and playing in Spain now.”
The Ghanaian international is currently facing five charges of rape and one charge of sexual assault, allegedly involving three different women. These charges come just days after his contract with Arsenal expired at the end of June.
Partey is scheduled to appear at the Old Bailey on September 2, where the case will proceed. As the legal process unfolds, questions continue to surround the midfielder's football career and his future in the sport.
