The Organizing Committee of the Nigerian-German Investment and Cultural Expo (NGICE25) has announced that its 2025 event will enhance the ongoing cultural exchange and economic cooperation between Nigeria and Germany.

Dr Mike Okiro, retired Inspector General of Police and Chairman, NGICE Organising Committee, stated this when he paid a courtesy visit to the Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, in Abuja.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the 2025 NGICE is scheduled to be held in Berlin in Germany. Okiro, while briefing the minister on the committee’s preparations towards the expo, sought the Federal Government’s support and partnership in order to have a seamless and successful project.

He said that the expo would serve as a platform to showcase Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage to the world.

According to him, it is aimed at attracting Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) and showcasing Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage to the world, using Berlin, Germany as a platform. “The expo, which is being organised by Salute Nigeria Initiative in collaboration with various government agencies and private organisations, would attract foreign direct investment.

“One of the objectives of the event is the attraction of foreign direct investments that will showcase Nigeria’s investment opportunities to German investors and further promote the existing economic cooperation between the two nations.

“The cultural exchange will also promote Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage through music, art, and other creative expressions,’’ committee chairman said.

He added that the expo would foster economic growth and development in Nigeria through partnerships with German and European Captains of Industries.

“We, the organising committee, have been working tirelessly to ensure the success of the expo with the support of the Minister and other stakeholders.

“NGICE25 is poised to make a significant impact on Nigeria’s economic and cultural landscape in collaboration with the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation. “The expo is set to unlock Nigeria’s Investment Opportunities for Economic Growth,” he added.

Responding, Musawa, who commended the committee for showcasing Nigeria’s culture to the world, said the Federal Government remained committed to supporting any effort aimed at promoting cultural heritage and tourism development in the country.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
