TENSION AS REGINA DANIELS’ BROTHER, SAMMY WEST, LANDS IN KEFFI PRISON
Actress Regina Daniels’ brother, Sammy West, has been remanded in Keffi Prison by a Dutse Magistrate Court.
Reports indicate that Sammy was remanded on Thursday without access to legal representation.
His elder brother, who goes by the handle @sweezzy1, announced the development in a post on Instagram, expressing concern over the situation.
In his post, he wrote:
“He is currently at Keffi Prison! Dutse Magistrate has suddenly disappeared. Ned, you can pay everybody but you can’t pay for integrity!
Sammy is currently in prison. Everyone please help me ask Ned what Sammy’s offense is. Sammy said my lawyers are on their way, but he wasn’t allowed to call anyone. The judge said remand him till they can file for his bail. Bail has been filed, but the magistrate has disappeared and no one is available to sign. You want him to test the prison? Ned, the most powerful man in the universe—you still can’t be greater than God!”
He also shared a video showing Sammy claiming that he was denied the right to contact his lawyer and family.
“They didn’t allow me to call my lawyer. They didn’t allow my family to see me since I was arrested on Monday. Nobody knew where I was taken to,” Sammy was heard saying in the video.
Sources revealed that Sammy was arrested in Lagos on Monday by Senator Ned Nwoko and allegedly transported to Abuja via a private jet.
Reacting to her brother’s arrest, Regina Daniels took to Instagram to allege that Sammy and her sister were detained as a means to pressure her into undergoing rehabilitation.
Regina, who is reportedly in the middle of a turbulent split from Senator Ned Nwoko, accused him of using his influence to intimidate her family.
Senator Nwoko, in turn, has accused the actress of substance abuse and claimed she has been evading rehabilitation following allegations of domestic violence.
The situation has sparked widespread reactions on social media as fans continue to demand clarity on the case and the charges against Sammy West.
