President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sworn in Taiwo Oyedele as the new Minister of State for Finance.

The brief swearing-in ceremony took place on Monday at the State House in Abuja.

Oyedele replaces Doris Anite-Uzoka, who has been redeployed to the Ministry of Budget and National Planning as Minister of State, marking her third ministerial role in the current administration.

Oyedele’s appointment was confirmed by the Senate on March 11, 2026, shortly after President Tinubu submitted his nomination for screening.

Before his appointment, Oyedele served as Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms, where he spearheaded efforts aimed at reforming and modernizing Nigeria’s tax system.
