The Terra Academy for the Arts has called on the Federal and state governments to introduce tax rebates and other incentives for young entrepreneurs while improving security across the country.

The organisation said young business owners face several challenges that make it difficult to establish and sustain enterprises, including insecurity, high operating costs and limited access to support.

TAFTA urged governments to create policies that reduce the financial burden on emerging businesses and encourage more young people to pursue entrepreneurship.

The academy also called for stronger security measures to protect business owners, employees and customers, particularly in areas where insecurity has affected commercial activities.

It said young entrepreneurs play an important role in job creation and economic development and should be given an environment in which their businesses can grow.

The organisation further encouraged public and private institutions to provide mentorship, skills development and access to finance for young business owners.

TAFTA said coordinated support from government, financial institutions and other stakeholders would help young entrepreneurs build sustainable businesses and contribute more to the economy.

The call came amid wider concerns over the cost of running businesses and the challenges facing young Nigerians seeking to create employment opportunities through entrepreneurship.
