The ongoing feud between American music stars Nicki Minaj and SZA has intensified, as the R&B singer fired back with fresh claims following Minaj’s assertion that she was the more accomplished artist.

Tensions escalated earlier this week after SZA appeared to throw subtle shade at the rapper, prompting Minaj to go on a rant on social media platform X, where she also took shots at music executive TDE Punch. During her post, Minaj boasted about her musical milestones, suggesting that she has performed in places where SZA remains relatively unknown.

In response, SZA took to X to share a screenshot of what she claimed were messages from Nicki Minaj and her team requesting a collaboration. In the caption, SZA revealed that she had declined the rapper’s feature requests twice.

"You absolutely know my music and what I contribute because you’ve asked for features twice and received no response," she wrote. "In addition to rapping my lyrics on ‘Feeling Myself’ — ‘Cooking up the bass looking like a kilo’? Lol, you're having a moment… I’m not sure why, but be blessed."

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
