SUPER EAGLES’ WORLD CUP HOPES REST ON RWANDA CLASH — NDIDI
Wilfred Ndidi has emphasized that the Super Eagles must fight hard to secure victory over Rwanda’s Amavubi in their upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
Nigeria’s qualification journey has been shaky, with the team struggling against lower-ranked opponents like Lesotho and Zimbabwe. They currently find themselves in a difficult position in Group C, managing only seven points from six matches.
The three-time African champions were recently held to a 1-1 draw by Zimbabwe in their last home game. They now face Rwanda at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Saturday, a match Ndidi insists is crucial to their hopes of reaching the World Cup finals.
“If we let it slip, it’s finished. If we let the Rwanda game slip, there’s nothing like rivalry in South Africa,” the Besiktas midfielder warned while speaking to reporters in Uyo.
