SUPER EAGLES MIDFIELDER TOCHUKWU NNADI RESPONDS TO TAYE TAIWO’S MARSEILLE COMMENTS
Nigerian midfielder Tochukwu Nnadi has expressed his gratitude following Marseille legend Taye Taiwo’s heartfelt message congratulating him on his move to the French Ligue 1 club.
Taiwo, the former Super Eagles and Marseille defender, shared a video on the club’s official social media channels, directly addressing Nnadi with words of encouragement and support.
“Hi Nnadi, congratulations, brother. Welcome to Marseille. I just wanted to say I hope you have a great time, and I’ll see you soon,” Taiwo said. “You know, in Nigeria, people don’t hold grudges. All the best, brother. See you soon. Ciao.”
Taiwo, renowned for his powerful left foot and six successful seasons at Marseille from 2005 to 2011, remains a respected figure at the club, making his message particularly meaningful for the young Nigerian midfielder.
In response, Nnadi thanked Taiwo for his kind words, acknowledging the significance of the encouragement as he embarks on this new chapter.

The 22-year-old, born in Ihiagwa, Imo State, joined Marseille from Belgian side Zulte Waregem, where he earned a reputation as a hardworking midfielder. His strong defensive abilities and tactical versatility have drawn interest from several European clubs.
