The Super Eagles have officially released their 24-man squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup African Play-Offsscheduled to take place next week in Rabat, Morocco.

Head coach Eric Chelle has assembled a strong mix of experienced leaders and rising talents as Nigeria prepares for a crucial semi-final clash against Gabon.

Leading the squad is captain William Troost-Ekong, joined by star forward Victor Osimhen, in-form goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali, and defensive standouts Bright Osayi-Samuel and Calvin Bassey.

The midfield is powered by established names like Alex Iwobi, Wilfred Ndidi, and Frank Onyeka, alongside emerging defender Benjamin Fredericks. In attack, Samuel Chukwueze and Ademola Lookman headline the list of players expected to make a major impact.

Nigeria will face Gabon on Thursday at the Complexe Sportif Prince Heritier Moulay Al Hassan in Rabat, a 22,000-seater stadium. The second semi-final will feature Cameroon vs DR Congo at the nearby 18,000-capacity El-Barid Stadium.

Chelle has also recalled goalkeeper Maduka Okoye and Spain-based winger Chidera Ejuke, while rising stars Raphael Onyedika, Tolu Arokodare, Jerome Akor Adams, and Olusegun Olakunle earn their spots.
However, defender Oluwasemilogo Ajayi will miss the Gabon clash due to suspension after picking up two yellow cards earlier in the qualifiers.

Players will arrive in Morocco on Monday, November 10, flying in from their respective clubs across Europe and beyond.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
