SUPER EAGLES DEFENDER JAMILU COLLINS JOINS GERMAN CLUB FC ERZGEBIRGE AUE
Super Eagles defender Jamilu Collins has completed a move to German 3. Liga club FC Erzgebirge Aue, DAILY POST reports. The 31-year-old left-back joins the modest German side on a free transfer after leaving Sky Bet Championship club Cardiff City at the end of last season.
Collins spent three years with Cardiff City, making 43 league appearances, but his time at the Welsh club was hampered by persistent injuries.
This move marks a return to Germany for Collins, who previously enjoyed a five-year spell with SC Paderborn, helping the club gain promotion to the Bundesliga. He is set to wear jersey number 29 at his new club.
With his experience in both German and English football, Collins is expected to bring stability and leadership to FC Erzgebirge Aue’s defense as they aim for success in the 3. Liga.
