SUPER EAGLES BEGIN TRAINING IN POLOKWANE AHEAD OF LESOTHO CLASH
The Super Eagles have kicked off preparations in Polokwane ahead of their crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Lesotho on Friday.
According to DAILY POST, 17 players took part in the team’s first official training session under head coach Eric Chelle. The atmosphere in camp was lively, with players and officials showing high spirits and determination as they focus on securing all three points in the upcoming fixture.
Meanwhile, Benjamin Fredrick of Brentford FC has joined the team after arriving at their Ranch Hotel base following Tuesday’s session. With five more players expected to report to camp, the squad is gradually shaping up for the all-important matchday nine encounter.
The Super Eagles will take on Lesotho at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane, where they’ll be hoping to boost their qualification chances for the 2026 World Cup.
