STAKEHOLDERS ADVOCATE MINI-GRIDS TO BRIDGE ELECTRICITY GAP

Energy stakeholders have called for accelerated deployment of mini-grids as a viable solution to Nigeria’s persistent electricity deficit, which currently leaves millions without reliable power supply.

Industry experts, developers, and policymakers at recent forums emphasised that mini-grids offer decentralised, cost-effective electricity to underserved communities, particularly in rural and semi-urban areas where grid extension remains uneconomical.
