SOWORE BLASTS KWANKWASO OVER CLAIM DAUGHTER ADVISED HIM TO ALIGN WITH PETER OBI
Former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, Omoyele Sowore, has criticised former Kano State governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso over comments suggesting his daughter influenced his political decision to work with Peter Obi ahead of the 2023 elections.
Kwankwaso made the revelation during an interview on Arise Television while discussing political developments and possible alliances ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to the former governor, his daughter had advised him to collaborate with Obi during the build-up to the 2023 presidential race, long before both politicians eventually became associated with the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).
The statement quickly sparked reactions online, with Sowore taking to his verified 𝕏 account to question Kwankwaso’s political judgment and leadership capacity.
In a strongly worded post, the AAC chieftain suggested that if Kwankwaso now relies on his daughter for major political decisions, then she may be more qualified to contest for the presidency herself.
Sowore further claimed the former Kano governor had become politically weakened and ended his criticism with a moral and religious rebuke.
“Mr. @KwankwasoRM, if your ‘daughter’ now has to tell you who to work for in 2027, then perhaps she, who obviously knows better than you, according to your own postulation, should be the one running for President,” Sowore wrote.
“Clearly, you have become politically atrophied. Liars shall not make heaven! #AACOurParty.”
The exchange adds to the growing political tension and public debate surrounding emerging alliances and power blocs ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 presidential election.
