SOLDIERS, NDLEA ARREST THREE SUSPECTED TERRORIST DRUG SUPPLIERS IN KATSINA
A joint operation by the Nigerian Army and the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has led to the arrest of three suspects believed to be supplying drugs to terrorist groups in Katsina State.
The operation, conducted in a border community, resulted in the recovery of large quantities of illicit substances, including tramadol and other psychotropic drugs. The suspects are currently in custody undergoing interrogation to uncover their supply networks and links to banditry and terrorism.
The Katsina State NDLEA Commander praised the collaboration with the military, noting that disrupting drug supply chains is critical to weakening criminal and terrorist operations. “These arrests will help reduce the availability of substances that fuel violence in the region,” he said.
Security agencies have vowed to sustain intelligence-driven operations to curb drug trafficking and its connection to insecurity in the North-West.
