SHUN PARTISAN POLITICS, AIYEDATIWA TELLS ONDO CORPS MEMBERS
Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has urged corps members posted to the state to avoid partisan politics and focus on serving their host communities responsibly.
The governor gave the advice at the closing ceremony of the 2026 Batch C Stream I orientation course in Ikare-Akoko.
Represented by the NYSC State Coordinator, Mrs Kuburat Omowumi Bakare, Aiyedatiwa reminded the corps members that their conduct would reflect on their families, institutions and the scheme.
He encouraged them to accept their postings in good faith and carry out their duties with diligence, integrity and respect for the communities where they would serve.
The governor also appealed to employers to welcome corps members and provide suitable working conditions, guidance and opportunities to use their knowledge and skills.
He said effective mentorship would help the young graduates develop professionally and gain experience that would remain useful beyond their service year.
Aiyedatiwa further called on local government authorities, traditional rulers and community leaders to support corps members and help them settle into their new surroundings.
According to him, cooperation from host communities would enable corps members to carry out meaningful Community Development Service projects.
He stressed that a strong partnership between corps members, employers and community leaders would help ensure that the service year delivers practical benefits to the people of Ondo State.
