Residents of Kajola, Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State, have been thrown into mourning after the gruesome killing of a 28-year-old man, Ifeanyi Otu, allegedly by a suspected drug baron, Eze Amadi, popularly known as Lecturer.

According to reports, Amadi allegedly tortured Ifeanyi to death and concealed his body inside a water drum under the cover of night. The shocking incident happened on Monday, August 25, 2025, at Adeyalo Street, Kajola.

Trouble began when the suspect attempted to dispose of the corpse on a motorcycle but was intercepted by residents, who raised the alarm. His arrest immediately sparked outrage and tension across the community.

Speaking to Hope Newspaper, the victim’s father, Mr. Michael Agwu Otu, described the discovery of his son’s body as a devastating blow.

“I received a call that my son’s body, wrapped with foam, had been discovered inside a water drum. When I arrived, I saw him lying lifeless after the drum was cut open. I was also told that the suspect was caught while trying to transport his body on a motorcycle,” the grieving father recounted.

Community members revealed that they had often heard cries at night from the suspect’s house, suspected to be victims of torture.

Confirming the development, the community youth leader, Gideon Akinsuroju, said Amadi and two accomplices were arrested by the police in connection with the crime.

“This is a disturbing incident that has left everyone in shock. We urge the police to ensure justice is served and that the culprits face the full weight of the law,” he said.

The horrifying incident has left the Kajola community shaken, with residents demanding swift justice.
