SHEHU SANI TO POLITICIANS: POWER IS TEMPORARY, YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW

Former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani, has issued a stern reminder to Nigerian politicians about the fleeting nature of power and the consequences of its misuse.

In a post shared on his verified Facebook page, Sani warned that leaders must be mindful of their actions while in office, as they will inevitably face the results when they leave.

“We told the leaders of yesterday, we are telling it to the leaders of today and will tell it to the leaders of tomorrow that power is transient.
What you planted when in power you shall reap when out of power.
You can’t plant thorns in power and reap roses out of power. Life after power is longer than life on the seat of power,” he wrote.

Sani noted that some people behave like “gods” while in authority, only to become lonely and vulnerable once they leave office. He urged leaders to treat people justly, reminding them that their post-office life will depend on the legacy they leave behind.

“By the might of Allah, we survived the cruelty of power. We pray that you never fall into the jaws of power when it turns against you,” he added.

The ex-lawmaker’s remarks have sparked fresh conversations online, with many Nigerians echoing his call for accountability and humility among those in leadership.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
