“SHE RAN OFF WITH MY SONG!” – RAPPER YUNG MIAMI ACCUSES TYLA OF STEALING HER TRACK ‘CHANEL’
American rapper Yung Miami has called out South African pop sensation Tyla, accusing her of stealing her song idea.
The drama began after Tyla teased her upcoming single titled “Chanel” on social media on Thursday. Shortly after, Yung Miami took to her X (Twitter) account, alleging that Tyla copied her yet-to-be-released song with the same title.
“This girl really ran off with my song and I don’t know how to feel about it. Mind you, I played this song for this girl,” Yung Miami wrote, expressing visible frustration over the situation.
The rapper, best known as one half of the City Girls duo, later confirmed in response to a fan that she was indeed referring to Tyla, the Water crooner.
Yung Miami claimed she had privately shared her unreleased track “Chanel” with Tyla, only to later see the South African singer teasing a seemingly similar record under the same name.
The accusation has since sparked heated discussions across social media, with fans debating whether this is a coincidence or a case of intellectual property theft.
Some netizens have defended Tyla, suggesting that song titles cannot be copyrighted, while others sided with Yung Miami, calling for originality and respect among artists.
As of the time of this report, Tyla has not publicly responded to the allegations.
