SHAWN FAQUA MAKES HISTORY WITH NIGERIA’S FIRST WEDDING ON A MOVING TRAIN
Nollywood actor Shawn Faqua and event planner Sharon Ifunanya Maduekwe have set a national record by getting married aboard a moving Lagos–Ibadan train, marking the first wedding ceremony ever held on a train in Nigeria.

The couple beautifully transformed the train coaches into an elegant wedding venue, complete with floral décor, bridesmaids, groomsmen, and officiating ministers who conducted the ceremony while the train was in motion.
Celebrating the milestone, the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) applauded the couple for their creativity and innovation, stating:

“From lovebirds to locomotives, we’re keeping things on track. History made — the first-ever wedding on a moving train in Nigeria. Proof that the journey can be just as beautiful as the destination.”
The ceremony has since gone viral on social media, earning widespread admiration from Nigerians who praised the couple’s originality and adventurous spirit.
It was an intimate celebration attended by close family members, friends, and colleagues from the entertainment industry.
