SERIE A: ATALANTA FANS SLAM LOOKMAN AS ‘UNGRATEFUL’

Atalanta fans have expressed frustration with Ademola Lookman after the Nigerian forward pushed for a move away from the club this summer.

Supporters described the winger as “ungrateful,” despite his successful integration into the team.

A banner displayed in Bergamo read: “No. 11 reintegrated but for us, you remain ungrateful.”

Lookman was involved in a transfer standoff last month when Atalanta blocked his proposed switch to Inter Milan.

The 27-year-old had submitted a transfer request and even went absent in an attempt to force the move.

He is now expected to feature for the first time this season when Atalanta face Torino.
