Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’adua, who represents Katsina Central, has dismissed reports suggesting he intends to leave the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

In a statement issued Sunday night, Yar’adua described the rumours as unfounded and attributed them to media mischief.

He emphasized his continued allegiance to the APC and President Bola Tinubu.

“I wish to categorically reaffirm my unwavering commitment and support for the All Progressives Congress (APC),” the statement read.

He also called on the media to ignore any speculative reports about his defection, adding, “It’s essential to clarify that not all individuals bearing the Yar’Adua surname have a political connection to me.”

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
