SENATOR ORJI UZOR KALU CONFIRMS SOLUDO’S STRATEGIC MOVE TO APC
Abia North Senator Orji Uzor Kalu on Tuesday confirmed that Anambra State Governor Charles Soludo is expected to join the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Orji Kalu described Soludo as a progressive leader, aligning him with President Bola Tinubu and himself.
Speaking to journalists at the National Assembly, the former governor stated that Soludo has no other alternative.
He said, “I think after all the court cases, he is a progressive like myself, President Tinubu, and the Senate President. Soludo is a progressive. He will come to APC. In fact, it is confirmed that he will join APC. He has no other alternative.”
Addressing reports that Abia Governor Alex Otti of the Labour Party may also join the ruling party, the lawmaker emphasised that no one is forced into the APC.
“Neither I nor other senators, the Senate President, or President Tinubu have ever forced anybody to join our party,” he added.
Over the weekend, Soludo secured re-election for a second term, defeating APC’s Nicholas Ukachukwu by more than 300,000 votes.
