SENATE COMMITTEE SCREENS OLORUNNIMBE, OTHERS FOR NCC BOARD CONFIRMATION
The Senate Committee on Communications has completed the screening of nominees for appointment to the Board of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), with Mr. Idris Olorunnimbe serving as the Chairman-designate.
During his screening, Olorunnimbe pledged his dedication to advancing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda by fostering a regulatory framework that promotes broadband expansion, enhances digital inclusion, safeguards consumer interests, and attracts more investment into Nigeria’s telecom and digital economy sectors.
Olorunnimbe, founder and Group Chief Executive Officer of The Temple Company, stated that he would bring to the position his extensive experience in strategic leadership, innovation, and institutional development across diverse industries.
An accomplished entrepreneur, lawyer, and public policy advocate, Olorunnimbe also holds executive education certifications from Harvard Business School, the University of Oxford, the University of Cambridge, and Henley Business School.
