Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Wednesday received popular American streamer and internet personality, Kai Cenat, at the Lagos House, Marina.

The visit was disclosed by the governor’s Senior Special Assistant on New Media, Jubril A. Gawat, in a post shared on X. According to him, Cenat paid the governor a courtesy visit during his ongoing stay in Lagos.

Gawat revealed that the US-based streamer is in Lagos to follow up on projects and initiatives he plans to carry out for children and young people in the state.

“Kai Cenat is in Lagos to follow up on some projects and initiatives he plans to execute for kids and young people in Lagos State, Nigeria,” Gawat said.

Kai Cenat, who is making his second visit to Lagos, is one of the most-followed streamers globally. He is best known for his live-streamed content on platforms such as Twitch and YouTube, where he commands a massive international audience, particularly among young people.

While details of his itinerary were not made public, his visit has continued to generate interest online, coming just weeks after another American streamer, IShowSpeed, toured Lagos and attracted huge crowds and widespread attention on social media.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
