SAKA TO MISS EVERTON CLASH AS ARSENAL AWAIT INJURY SCANS
Arsenal will be without Bukayo Saka for Saturday’s Premier League clash with Everton as the club continues to assess his thigh injury.
The England winger was forced off early in Wednesday’s 2–2 Champions League draw against Bayern Munich after experiencing discomfort while playing a pass.
Speaking on Friday, manager Mikel Arteta said further scans and specialist opinions were needed before Arsenal could confirm how long Saka would be sidelined.
He explained that fluid around the affected area had made it difficult for medical staff to establish the full extent of the injury.
“He’s got another MRI this afternoon because he had quite a lot of fluid in the area,” Arteta said.
The Arsenal boss expressed concern about Saka’s restricted movement but urged patience until the assessments were complete.
His absence leaves Arsenal with an important attacking role to fill against Everton. Noni Madueke and Eberechi Eze could take on greater responsibility, with fellow winger Christos Tzolis also unavailable.
Arsenal have several fixtures approaching, including a league trip to Liverpool, making the results of Saka’s scans particularly significant.
The club has yet to announce a confirmed recovery timeline.
