Louis Saha, the former Manchester United forward, has expressed his belief that Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen would be an ideal addition to the club, offering the qualities needed to lift the team’s fortunes under manager Ruben Amorim.

Manchester United is having their worst-ever Premier League campaign, suffering 15 defeats and sitting 14th on the table with just 38 points from 33 matches. Amid this turmoil, Saha feels that Osimhen, with his pedigree and experience, could help restore the team to prominence.

In an interview with Mega Dice, Saha lauded Osimhen's impressive track record in Europe, noting his success in France, his championship-winning season with Napoli in Italy, and his standout performances with Galatasaray in Turkey.

“I really admire Victor Osimhen. He has the right character and quality, and his European experience speaks volumes,” said Saha, who himself scored 42 goals during his time at United. “He was a standout player in France, won the title with Napoli, and has been exceptional in Turkey with Galatasaray. It’s a move he probably wasn’t thrilled with, to be honest.”

Saha also pointed out Osimhen’s ability to thrive under pressure, especially when leading Napoli to their first Serie A title in over three decades.

“He’s delivered goals at every stage, and his personality and charisma would add immense value to United. I truly believe he would be a game-changing acquisition,” Saha explained.

“I think he could make a huge impact at United. Considering the pressure he faced at Napoli, leading them to their first title in 33 years, he is exactly the kind of leader Manchester United needs.”

Saha, along with former United legends Rio Ferdinand and Andy Cole, has joined the growing chorus of voices advocating for the club to make a move for Osimhen. However, United is not the only club interested, as competition from various top European teams is expected.

For now, Osimhen remains committed to his campaign with Galatasaray, where he has been in brilliant form, having scored 29 goals and provided five assists in 34 games this season, as he targets the Turkish Süper Lig title.

With the transfer window on the horizon, speculation regarding Osimhen’s future is likely to intensify, with Manchester United expected to be a key player in the race for his signature.
