ROY KEANE TIPS ARSENAL FOR PREMIER LEAGUE GLORY, NAMES HIS TOP 5
Former Manchester United legend Roy Keane has backed Arsenal to finally end their long wait for a Premier League title this season.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Keane predicted that Mikel Arteta’s side will go all the way after finishing runners-up in each of the last three campaigns.
Arsenal last lifted the Premier League trophy in 2004, during Arsène Wenger’s famous “Invincibles” era. But Keane believes the Gunners now have the depth, consistency, and mentality to finish top.
“The time has come for Arsenal. They’ve been close, but this season, I think they’ll do it,” Keane said.
According to his prediction, Liverpool, last season’s champions, will settle for second place, while Manchester City will drop to third. Keane also included Newcastle United in the top four, expecting them to finish fourth.
However, he does not see Chelsea breaking into the Champions League spots. He placed the Blues in fifth, despite their strong transfer activity and new leadership under Enzo Maresca.
Keane’s Top 5 Premier League Predictions:
Arsenal (Champions)
Liverpool
Manchester City
Newcastle United
Chelsea
So far this season, Arsenal edged Manchester United 1-0 at Old Trafford, Liverpool began their title defence with a win over Bournemouth, Manchester City cruised to a 4-0 victory, while Chelsea were held to a goalless draw by Crystal Palace.
With the race heating up early, fans will be eager to see if Keane’s bold prediction finally comes true.
