RIVERS UNITED CAPTAIN EMEKAYI URGES TEAM AHEAD OF CAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE SHOWDOWN
Rivers United skipper, Temple Emekayi, has voiced the team’s readiness and determination to clinch victory in the CAF Champions League preliminary round second leg against FS Les Aigles.
Speaking ahead of the decisive clash scheduled for Sunday at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Emekayi said the players are in high spirits and eager to deliver.
“All the players are lively and we can’t wait for the game because we are hungry for victory against FS Les Aigles,” he stated.
The captain also reassured fans of the team’s commitment, promising that their support will not go unrewarded. “We want to let the fans know that we won’t let them down, since we know the job is half done in Congo. Their support will motivate us to go all out in the game,” he added.
With the first leg ending goalless, Rivers United must secure a win to progress to the next stage of the competition.
