The Rivers State chapter of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, under the leadership of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has stated that local political leaders in the state are fully capable of mobilising support for President Bola Tinubu without relying on any governor.

Wike made this declaration on Saturday during the inauguration of the organisation’s Port Harcourt office.

According to the minister, members of the group are independently committed to advancing President Tinubu’s agenda, stressing that genuine support must come from personal conviction rather than political direction.

“We are working for President Tinubu. We don’t need a governor to mobilise us. We have the capacity to operate on our own,” Wike said. “We have senators, members of the House of Assembly, local government chairmen, National Assembly members, as well as party chairmen from both the APC and PDP.”

He added that the group had taken the initiative to mobilise itself as a clear demonstration of loyalty and commitment to the President.

Wike further noted that the display of unity within the group highlights the resolve of Rivers State leaders who have voluntarily pledged their support to President Tinubu.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
