RIVERS CRISIS OVER: GOV FUBARA SAYS HE’S NOW IN GOOD TERMS WITH WIKE
Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has declared that his relationship with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, is now cordial, putting to rest months of political tension in the state.
Speaking with State House correspondents after meeting President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Monday, September 22, 2025, Governor Fubara assured that political stability has fully returned to Rivers.
He dismissed speculations that the reconciliation was merely superficial, insisting that genuine peace has been restored.
“I don’t know what you mean by paper peace. As far as I’m concerned, we have made peace. Fubara and his principal are working together,” he said.
The governor also expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for his intervention, noting that his role was crucial in restoring calm and paving the way for peace and development in the state.
