RIVERS CRISIS IS SPIRITUAL, BEYOND TINUBU – PASTOR IBIYEOMIE

The General Overseer of Salvation Ministries in Port Harcourt, David Ibiyeomie, has described the ongoing feud between Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike as a spiritual battle.

Speaking in a video that has gone viral, Ibiyeomie said no human intervention can resolve the conflict, emphasizing that only God has the power to end the political impasse.

He traced a historical pattern of political conflicts in Rivers State, noting that former Governor Peter Odili clashed with his benefactor Rufus Ada George; Chibuike Amaechi opposed Odili, who had supported his rise to governorship; Wike fought Amaechi, his former boss; and now Fubara is at odds with Wike.

The pastor warned that the cycle could continue if Fubara chooses a successor after his tenure.

“Because if God speaks to me, I will say it. No mortal man, I repeat, can solve the problem of Rivers State. No mortal man. It’s not a physical problem,” Ibiyeomie said.

He added, “Even if Sim picks somebody today, that person will fight him. It’s a spiritual problem. They have tried all means, even the President, and have not been able to solve it.”

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
