RIO FERDINAND EXPRESSES CONCERN FOR MAN UNITED STRIKER BENJAMIN SESKO
Manchester United legend, Rio Ferdinand, has voiced his concerns about new striker Benjamin Sesko following the club’s 3-0 defeat to Manchester City in Sunday’s Premier League derby.
Speaking on Rio Ferdinand Presents, the former England defender said Sesko has not been given enough opportunities to prove himself since arriving at Old Trafford.
“The one I am worried about is Sesko. He isn’t getting any chances, no opportunities, nothing is being created for him,” Ferdinand said.
“That is the concern. A new striker comes into the club, gets into the team, and you’ve got to think about creating chances for him. That’s something that has to be looked at and fixed quickly.”
Sesko, 22, joined United from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig during the summer transfer window. However, he has struggled to make a real impact due to the team’s lack of creativity up front.
Ferdinand’s comments highlight the growing concern among fans that United’s attacking struggles could affect Sesko’s confidence and slow down his adaptation to the Premier League.
