“RIG AND DIE IN 2027” – CHARLY BOY URGES NIGERIANS TO DEFEND THEIR VOTES AT ALL COSTS
2027 Elections: Charly Boy Calls on Nigerians to Resist Rigging, Says Blood May Flow
Veteran entertainer and activist Charly Boy (real name: Charles Oputa) has sparked strong reactions online after calling on Nigerians to adopt a "rig and die" mindset ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a recent interview with Jay On-Air, Charly Boy didn’t mince words as he expressed deep frustration over the state of the nation under the current administration led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
According to him, corruption in the present government is far worse than what Nigerians experienced under former President Muhammadu Buhari.
“The corruption in the current administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is ten times worse than the last administration of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari,” he claimed.
Charly Boy said it’s no longer about one politician stealing more than another, but about the Nigerian people reclaiming their power—regardless of tribe or party.
“The people stealing our national wealth are from all the tribes. We know the game.”
His most striking statement came when he declared that, come 2027, Nigerians must be ready to defend their votes with their lives if necessary.
“I’m hoping to see ‘rig and die’ come 2027. Blood will flow; before it gets better, it will get worse.”
Charly Boy’s comments have divided public opinion—some hail him as a voice of truth and revolution, while others criticize his choice of words as extreme and potentially inciting violence.
As the 2027 elections draw closer, one thing is clear: calls for electoral transparency and public accountability are growing louder.
