Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has urged residents of Kogi to take advantage of the ongoing voter registration exercise and ensure they obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) before the deadline set by the electoral authorities.

She made the appeal during a civic engagement drive, stressing that voter participation remains essential for strengthening democracy and ensuring that citizens have a voice in future elections in Nigeria.

The senator encouraged eligible residents, especially young people and first-time voters, to complete their registration early to avoid last-minute rush and possible disenfranchisement.

She also emphasized the importance of political awareness, urging citizens to remain informed and actively participate in the electoral process.

According to her, voter registration is a critical step in shaping leadership and holding elected officials accountable at all levels of government.

Electoral officials have continued to call on citizens nationwide to register, update their details, and collect their PVCs ahead of upcoming elections.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
