Vice President Kashim Shettima has said economic reforms introduced by the Federal Government are helping to attract fresh investment into Nigeria’s oil and gas sector.

Shettima identified the removal of petrol subsidy and the unification of the foreign exchange market as key reforms that have improved the operating environment for investors.

He made the remarks while speaking on the progress of the administration’s economic policies and their impact on the oil and gas industry.

According to the Vice President, the reforms have helped restore investor confidence and created opportunities for increased investment across the sector.

He said the government was focused on creating a more predictable business environment while strengthening policies aimed at supporting economic growth.

Shettima also highlighted ongoing efforts to improve Nigeria’s energy sector and increase production, saying investment would remain important to the country’s economic development.

The Federal Government has continued to promote reforms in the petroleum industry as part of efforts to attract capital, expand production and improve the sector’s contribution to the economy.
