PREMIER LEAGUE RANKED BEST IN EUROPE AS NEW SEASON KICKS OFF
UEFA has released its latest ranking of Europe’s best football leagues, with the English Premier League (EPL) once again taking the top spot. The update comes as the 2025/26 season gets underway this August.
According to UEFA’s five-season club coefficient rankings, the Premier League leads the way thanks to the strong performances of English clubs in the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League over recent years.
Italy’s Serie A sits in second place, followed by Spain’s LaLiga in third, Germany’s Bundesliga in fourth, and France’s Ligue 1 in fifth—completing the top five.
The rankings are calculated by assessing how clubs from each league have fared in European competitions over the past five seasons, rewarding consistent success at the continental level.
