POPULAR KANNYWOOD ACTOR, MALAM NATA’ALA PASSES AWAY
Popular Kannywood actor, Mato Na Mato, widely known as Malam Nata’ala, has reportedly passed away after a prolonged illness.
Malam Nata’ala, who hailed from Potiskum in Yobe State, gained fame for his outstanding performance as an almajiri school teacher in the popular Arewa24 Hausa drama series, “Dadin Kowa.”
Before his death, the veteran actor had made several online appeals seeking financial assistance to cover his medical bills.
His situation attracted widespread sympathy across social media platforms and drew the attention of Niger Republic’s President, General Abdourahamane Tchiani, who reportedly donated ₦27 million to support his treatment.
The Kannywood industry and fans have expressed deep sorrow over his passing, describing him as a talented and humble performer who used his craft to promote Hausa culture and social values.
Funeral arrangements are expected to be announced by his family in due course.
