The Osun State Police Command has appealed to the public for help in locating the family of a dumb man found wandering in Modakeke, Osun State.

In a statement issued on Monday, the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abiodun Ojelabi, said the man was discovered on October 3, 2025, at the Adelola Area of Modakeke.

According to the police, the man is unable to speak, and was found wearing a campala outfit at the time of discovery. He is described as dark in complexion, without any tribal marks, and approximately 3.4 feet tall. The man also has an oval-shaped face, a detail the police believe may help relatives or members of the public identify him.

“Efforts are ongoing to trace his relatives, and this public notice is issued to assist in reuniting the man with his family,” the statement said.

The police urged anyone who recognizes the man or has information about his family to contact the Divisional Police Headquarters, Modakeke Division, or the Family Unit, Oke-Fia, in Osun State.

The Command also encouraged residents to share any useful information with the nearest police station to help facilitate a safe reunion.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
