Police Hand Over Body of Canadian National Found Dead in Lagos Hotel to Family for Cremation

The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the release of the body of a Canadian national, Mr. Dwight Sullivan, to his family for cremation after he was found dead in a hotel on Victoria Island, Lagos.

According to reports, Sullivan was discovered lifeless in his hotel room on Tuesday, prompting hotel staff to alert the authorities. Officers from the Victoria Island Police Division swiftly responded to the distress call and immediately commenced an investigation into the incident.

The Police Public Relations Officer for Lagos Command confirmed that the deceased’s body had been officially released to a relative after due process and documentation.

While the cause of death has not yet been publicly disclosed, police sources said no signs of foul play were observed at the scene, and a post-mortem examination may be conducted to ascertain the circumstances surrounding his death.
