The Adamawa State Police Command has deployed additional night patrol teams to the Kofare-Agric area following reports of alleged nighttime attacks and growing calls from residents for enhanced security.

The Command said the move is aimed at strengthening security in the area and preventing criminal activities, while investigations into the reported incidents continue.

In a statement issued on Friday, the Police Public Relations Officer, Suleiman Nguroje, said the Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morris, reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property across the state.

“The Adamawa State Police Command has taken note of reports alleging night attacks in the Kofare-Agric area, as well as calls for increased police patrols,” the statement said.
“In response, night patrols have been intensified with the deployment of additional operational teams to strategic locations within the area to deter criminal activities.”

According to the police, the reinforced patrols form part of broader proactive security measures being implemented in collaboration with other security agencies and community stakeholders.

“While investigations into the reported incidents are ongoing, proactive security measures have been strengthened in collaboration with sister security agencies and community stakeholders,” the statement added.

The Command urged residents of Kofare-Agric to remain calm and continue to cooperate with security agencies by providing timely and credible information.

“Members of the public are encouraged to remain calm and to provide timely and credible information to the police through established channels,” it said.

Residents were also advised to contact the police in case of emergencies via the following numbers: 08030693476, 08089671313, and 08033635201.

"This represents a significant development in our ongoing coverage of current events."
